“Viking Princess”

YW# 1448-3074291

Viking Princess is the cleanest and most modern Roughwater on the market today.  Undergoing a massive restoration from her keel-up, her owner has given meticulous attention to every system aboard. This semi-custom Ed Monk is turn-key and awaits her next adventurist. You won’t be disappointed.

Exterior Refit

This classic trawler was designed by respected architect Ed Monk and her restoration was overseen by famed architects at Fred Andersen Boat & Woodworks in Point Richmond CA.

Major refit includes rebuild of superstructure and aft deck. Length was added to the cockpit area by extending the bulkhead forward. All exterior surfaces were re-painted, and brightwork refinished with AWLGRIP. All original wood-framed windows have been replaced with high quality aluminum units.

The transom platform was rebuilt and the hull was repainted. The ship’s bottom is professionally cleaned and new anode’s are installed on a regular basis. Routine engine and gearbox service performed regularly and locally.

Interior Refit

The ship’s interior was stripped, cleaned and repainted. The interior teak decks were updated along with a new VacuFlush head and hot water system.  The main salon may have benefited the most from this keel-up restoration. A gorgeous galley counter top accented with a stainless sink and appliances makes for a very clean and modern look.

Dual Stid Helm Chairs were added to the pilothouse and new aft bunks were built.

**All upgrades listed are post 2010.**

Engine Room Overhaul

The Lehman Diesel engine underwent a full overhaul in 2012 beginning with a flush of the cooling system. A new oil cooler, reconditioned heat exchanger, thermostat, fuel pump, and dual Racor fuel filters were then added. The new cooling system is serviced with an updated seacock, strainer and fresh water pump.

New inspection manholes were also added to the fuel tanks which were cleaned of 40years of sludge.

The ship’s new engine alternator powers the 12V AGM house battery which was replaced along with the engine start battery.

New Electronic Console in solid teak, accented by Retro-chic automotive instrument gauges inlaid to a stainless steel instrument panel.
