Built in 2016, AVA is the 22nd Greenline 48′ to leave the factory in Slovenia. She was delivered and commissioned Summer of 2016 becoming the fourth Greenline to reach the shores of California. With dreams of cruising in luxurious comfort, the owners of this lightly-used beauty are now changing tacks and must sell.

AVA (hull 22) is a near-fully optioned example of the latest innovation from Greenline. The exciting 3-cabin, 3-head and flybridge layout provides ample comfort for owners and guests alike. Optional features such as Hybrid Propulsion, Remote Auto-Pilot, Touch Screen GPS, full teak deck package and wet bar are merely a few features that make this practically new 48′ cruiser a great value. Twin 220 HP VOLVO PENTA D3 – These efficient & reliable diesels produce top speeds of 16knts in Diesel Mode. The optioned hybrid drive package means each engine is coupled to twin 14kW Electric motors by hydraulically operated clutches. The electric motors are also integrated as 10kW generators when you run the diesel engines. Because each diesel and electric motor are linked on a single drivetrain, AVA can utilize regenerative charging technology similar to that in a hybrid car.

Each electric motor allows AVA to cruise in silent, eco-friendly Electric Mode at 6knts without consuming a drop of fuel. The long-term benefits have a positive impact to our waterways AND cruising past the fuel dock has an impact on your wallet.

Cruising at 4knts produces a range of 20Nm while running on the ship’s 46kW Lithium Polymer (LiPo 11.5 x 4) battery packs. Each Gen3 battery has a shelf life of 10years or 1000 deep cycles and is maintenance free.


Three Method of Charging

  • Simple shore power connection at the dock through a 50amp shore cord.  
  • Dual PV Solar array producing 500W of charge directly to the LiPo pack
  • Cruising in Diesel Mode generates up to 10kW of charge using regenerative current off the Volvo drive train. 

This technology eliminates the need for a noisy generator. The house and start battery packs are tethered to the LiPo pack, managed by a smart Battery Management System (BMS).

In short, with heavy sunlight there is no need to plug in the boat. You may run all AC & DC systems AND the propulsion off the Solar panels! This concept has created a whole new segment of boating we like to call Sun Sailing.

The Greenline Hybrid 48′ features the new high-anticipated three cabin layout with three heads and an optional fourth captain quarters in the Cockpit. Ava offers storage where the captain’s quarters is designated.


Master Cabin

Through the salon along the center line, down three simple steps grants you access to the master cabin forward. This cabin offers the award winning “scissor” berth which can be split into two twins or made into a queen bed. A simple stanchion and pin can adjoin the mattresses offering a full walk around berth with hanging lockers overhead and his and her outlets and reading lights.

Always leading the way in design innovation, Greenline does not disappoint in the master cabin. While molding the boat the designers notched out a piece of the bulwarks which lines up with the cabin windows at eye level. This thoughtful detail allows owners to see their full surroundings, while the intuitive design also gives you an added horizon line which can help fight off sea sickness.

Your private master cabin offers its own head with basin sink to starboard and to port you are awarded a private seated shower stall.

Ava is accessorized with a full entertainment package which includes a wall mounted 22″ Flat Screen TV with DVD, Fusion Stereo Controller with iPod Connection and overhead speakers. You truly have all the comforts of home.


Guest Cabins

There are near identical mid-ship guest cabins with two twin berths each. Both cabins are en suite while the starboard cabin shares access to the day head.

Each cabin boasts plenty of light through horizontal windows. Your guests will appreciate a sea view as opposed to feeling stowed away for the weekend. There is ample full sized locker space for linens, books, toys, life jackets and luggage.


Salon & Aft Galley

Since 2009 Greenline has led the way for design and innovation for the consumer boat market. Their simple notion to move the galley aft opens the entire salon space for entertaining while the Captain can be a part of the action.

Ava’s interior is anything BUT compartmentalized or cramped. The use of glass in the salon gives guests a light, open and airy feeling.  The 10 massive salon windows grant a Captain 360* views for docking and navigation while reminding guests why they accepted the invitation to come aboard.

The use of a hydraulic ram-operated window that lifts clear of the galley counter-top connects the outdoor cockpit to the interior of the boat. This award winning layout is so well received that many builders are implementing the same technique.

Nick’s infectious energy and can-do execution brings a lot of life to the dock. He joins the City Yachts crew during the 34th America’s Cup after spending nearly a decade in the mortgage industry. He is no stranger to the fuel/sales dock though. Nick is married to one of the Kaplan daughters and has been lending a hand on the dock for over 10years.
